2014 has been a surprising year! I’ve gotten to work on a lot of interesting editorial assignments and work on projects that I never would of imagined the year prior. I even got to work with a few art directors I love working with again which is always the best. This year I even got to illustrate for a few magazines I’ve been wanting to illustrate for since I started working as an illustrator in 2008. So I have to say that I am genuinely grateful for many designers and art directors taking a chance on me and continuing to work with me on different assignments and projects. I hope to work with many of you again in the new year as well as work with some folks I have yet to work with.
Every year since I began this journey I start the new year with a mantra. In 2014, the mantra was “Upsides”. My mantra for 2015 is going to be “Stay on course.” A few things I briefly mentioned at the beginning of 2014 fell through or have been postponed. It’s not unusual but it can sometimes be a little annoying when it happens. None the less, this year I want to make sure things follow through to the best of my abilities.
I am looking forward to seeing what’s coming up next in 2015. A few things are brewing but you’ll have to wait to see them as they come out.
All the best,
