Here is a new one for the Dallas Observer that comes out after the school board votes whether or not it will implement a new rule for teacher’s salaries. Teachers who do well will get paid better than teachers who don’t. I had so much fun rendering out these apples that I thought it would be cool to show the textures I built up.
Here’s the latest for my weekly column for the Dallas Observer. It seems more and more that in Dallas there are a lot of IOU’s and empty promise deals that city officials give out. When those deals do not go through, these politicians fight one another and do the blame game as to why nothing is getting done as they continue to roll in donation money for their next election. Oh Fat Cats fighting as a metaphor!
This is probably my favorite piece I have done for my weekly column with the Dallas Observer. It’s about how the City Manager of Dallas got fired and how the new City Manager taking over might end up having to do a few things they are uncomfortable with….
My weekly column for this week’s Dallas Observer is about how city hall redesigns the vacant downtown section of Dallas. It’ll resemble less of what they want to expect (The glory of 1960’s America high cost offices, condos, ect) and more so what is happening in other cities (hipsters/millennials moving into low cost apartments, middle wage office jobs and low stress alternative living.)
I’m looking forward to seeing what I illustrate this year for the Observer. These weekly column’s are a lot of fun and are a nice mental exercise.
