Newsweek gave me a call to illustrate an upcoming hot topic. Website domains are bought and sold only in the United States and internationalist are peeved that they can not buy domains in other countries. Especially their home country domains like .DE (Germany) or .FR (France). The problem is that if countries that limit internet activity gain control over domains, they can control what websites they would want to shut down. This would inhibit the freedom many internet users enjoy.
